  • Symphony YES! ensembles gave 106 school performances.

Through the DSO's Symphony YES! program, ensembles from the Orchestra travel to schools to present up to 100 performances annually for students in grades one through six. Audiences for each presentation are limited, creating an intimate and informative environment in which musicians introduce their instruments, perform a variety of repertoire and interact with students.
 
Symphony YES! ensembles are also available to visit middle schools for coaching, clinics, sectionals or performances aimed at recruiting new members for the school band and orchestra programs.
 
 Music Fun Facts

Prior to the presentation at their school, scheduling teachers will recieve one Music Fun Facts Booklet, an engaging resource book about the orchestra that prepares them to meet the musicians and their instruments. Symphony YES! is supported by Citigroup and the Junior Group of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League.
